       AVT CONSULT is established and initially registered in 1995 as designers’ bureau with main activity in the area of structural engineering, technical consultations and expertise. The volume of our work over the years includes not only the solution of specific and complex tasks, but also large-scale design developments in various fields of industrial, residential and office construction. In the last few years we have expanded our design activities in the field of tall buildings.

      

      AVT Consult pays special attention to geotechnical researches and solutions of complex and specific tasks in area of foundation of high-rise building, strengthening of deep excavations, design of reinforced of landslides, tunnel and subway constructions. Designing is carried out in partnership with the leading geotechnical experts in Bulgaria.

       The scope of activities covers wide variety of fields and is large as content:

 

  •  A lot of family houses, residential villages and apartment buildings in Sofia, Bulgaria and other Bulgarian cities. That part of the activities includes the overall structural design of most of the buildings in Business Park Sofia, Bulgaria and Business Park Varna as well as many separate office buildings.

 

  • The design of more than 20 hotels in the main sea and mountain resorts of Bulgaria are designed by the company.

 

  • In recent years the company's activities are focused on the design of tall buildings, some of which are: Multifunctional complex Grand Kanyon Sofia, Multifunctional complex Sofia Square, Multifunctional complex Iztok Plaza, Sofia and other

 

  • Design of industrial structures is an important part of the work. A lot of separate and complex projects are carried out in cement plants in Devnya, Dimitrovgrad, Beli Izvor and Zlatna Panega, which are part of Heidelbergcement, Holcim, and Titan Cement groups. Various types of new steel and reinforced concrete structures are designed by the company, as well as a lot of reconstruction works design. AVT Consult is the Bulgarian company responsible for the structural design of the Revamping of Devnya Cement Plant project. Most of the civil/structural design part of project “Rehabilitation of Unit 1-4 of Maritsa East Thermo Power Plant 2” was carried out by AVT Consult as a subcontractor of Mitsui, Toshiba and IHI. The project includes the design of new steel and reinforced concrete structures, foundations under heavy equipment, as well as reconstruction of existing structures.

 

  • Some of our projects of significant public importance are: Central Bus Station Sofia, Bulgaria, Reconstruction of Stara Zagora Railway station Complex, Extension of Airport Varna, Bridges and overpasses on highway Trakiya, Bulgaria, Overpass of Station 7 of Bulgarian Metropolitan, University complex in Nigeria,Football stadium in Azerbaijan ,etc.

 

  • The company participated in the civil part in several projects in Bulgarian chemical plants too.

 

  • Our designers work in international design teams on projects in Bulgaria and other countries. These teams include a partnership with architects and engineers from Austria, Belgium, Great Britain, Germany, Spain, Italy, China, Turkey and Japan.

 

  • We are able to offer design in Bulgarian, English, French, Russian and Spanish languages in discipline Structure, including specialized geotechnical design as well as discipline Architecture. The main code base for design of structural projects is Eurocode, but we have implemented projects which carried out in compliance with other standards, required and provided by the clients including but not limited to – BS, DIN, ГОСТ

 

      Consulting work:

 

  • Seismic calculations of large number of structures of public, residential and industrial building and facilities, including some structures at NPP Kozloduy, TPP Maritsa East 2, Devnya Cement and other structures of significant importance;
  • Dynamic calculations of various specific structures and facilities – radiotransmission masts, chimneys, machines foundations, etc.;
  • Computer modeling and seismic calculations for reconstruction of existing buildings and facilities related to their rehabilitation, upgrading or change of purpose;
  • Specific calculations of complex structures are carried out as part of the design work of other companies and/or institutions in Bulgaria, Albania, Algeria, Germany, Iraq, Nigeria, Slovakia, Azerbaijan, Georgia.
